Confressions of a Shopoholic

3. Throughout the movie it becomes clear that many of her purchases are excessive and she only needs to buy a few things if she is planning on getting out of financial debt, she needs to stop shopping in general, and just spend her money on the things she truly needs.
Needs: pay the rent
her best friends bridesmaid dress
Wants: The Green Scarf
A dress for the interview
gloves from the sale

4. Becky could have responded right away to the debt collectors calls. Maybe if she responded quicker and explained her situation then it wouldn’t have spiraled out of control in the way that it did. But by putting it off it ruined her credibility and her job.

5. I don’t think that it makes sense for every part of her life to work out in the way that it did. It does make sense that she would get a lot of money by selling her clothes, and that her best friend would forgive her. But it doesn’t make sense that every problem she had would be resloved just by paying off her debt. Also it makes it seem like her love life is more important than her debt.
